Held with Care

Guided by Presence

In the noise and pace of modern life, it’s easy to lose touch with meaning, presence, and our deeper sense of self. Yet beneath the blur and overwhelm, something in us remembers—a longing to return to what is essential, to what is sacred, to what is true. We long for direct experience, not ideology or belief, but a felt sense of presence, aliveness, and belonging.

This connection, this homecoming, can be elusive. Spirituality is often bound in doctrine, dogma, or cultural tradition, while psychology and philosophy can keep us circling in the mind and conceptual narratives. We seek ways to open an experiential doorway to deepening self-awareness and spiritual discovery.

Kaisora Breathwork is a simple yet profound modality that engages the innate power of breath, music, and intention to open space for healing, insight, and expanded awareness. This practice bridges science and mysticism, the somatic and the sacred, guiding you into deeper knowing on all levels of your being.

We believe true transformation happens when you feel safe, supported, and empowered to move at your own pace. At Kaisora, you’ll never be pushed to break through. You’ll be gently guided to breathe in a way that supports your unique unfolding.

Through the simple act of breathing, we reconnect to the inner intelligence that knows how to heal, how to feel, and how to live more fully.

We are honored to walk with you.

BREATHE WITH US

In the landscape of conscious breathwork practices, Kaisora Breathwork sits uniquely at the intersection of meditation, psychedelic exploration, somatic healing, and music & sound healing:

MEDITATION

As a form of active meditation, Kaisora’s rhythmic breathing helps quiets the “thinking mind,” allowing you to see, feel, and experience the present moment more fully. It helps illuminate deeper self-awareness and promote states of embodied peace and presence. With consistent practice, breathwork becomes a form of mindfulness that cultivates curiosity, insight, and emotional spaciousness. Rather than trying to fix or change yourself, the breath creates space to compassionately witness what’s here and reconnect to an inner steadiness that supports resilience, clarity, and authenticity in daily life.

PSYCHEDELIC STATES

Kaisora Breathwork offers a safe, natural, and accessible gateway to healing and insight through gently expanded states of consciousness. With the breath as your guide, you can shift beyond ordinary patterns of mind and into contact with intuition, vision, and soul. These states open a bridge to the subconscious and to something greater without the use of substances or external tools. Each session invites you to listen inward, access inner wisdom, and reconnect to the sacred through the power of your breath. It is a space to remember what has always lived within you—clarity, connection, and the courage to live more fully aligned.

SOMATIC HEALING

The breath is the only function of the autonomic nervous system that we can consciously influence, making it a profound tool for somatic healing and nervous system regulation. Kaisora Breathwork helps release held tension, discharge stress, and support a return to physiological balance and resilience. This practice supports the healthy mobilization of energy stuck in fight, flight, or freeze, while also reconnecting you to the intelligence and memory of the body. Through breath, we can gently metabolize past experience, awaken new possibility, and become more grounded, resourced, and alive in the present.

MUSIC AS MEDICINE

At Kaisora, we use music as a healing force and ally—one that invites you into deep inner states of emotion, insight, and release. Our sessions feature curated instrumental soundtracks that mirror the arc of the journey and help guide awareness out of the thinking mind and into embodied presence. The rhythms and tones stir memory, move energy, and support expanded consciousness. In in-person sessions, live instruments and sound healing tools may be used to deepen the experience. The result is a richly immersive soundscape that amplifies your journey and supports inner transformation.

At Kaisora, breathwork is held as a sacred and intimate journey—one that honors the innate wisdom of your body and the unique unfolding of your experience. Every element is intentionally designed to support your return to Self.

The Kaisora Experience: What to Expect

  • Music is a central part of the Kaisora experience—dynamic, mostly instrumental, and thoughtfully curated to guide you beyond the thinking mind and into deeper states of presence, emotion, and expanded awareness. Each soundtrack is composed as a journey in itself, carrying you through the arc of breathwork with rhythms that awaken, melodies that soften, and spacious tones that open the way for release, insight, and renewal.

  • Kaisora facilitators offer subtle, attuned verbal support—just enough to help you stay oriented in the breath and connected to your inner process. We avoid over-directing or interpreting, which can pull you out of the experience and into the thinking mind. Silence, music, and the breath itself often speak loudest, and we honor the power of space to allow what’s true to arise naturally.

  • While powerful emotional release can occur in breathwork, our orientation is not toward chasing catharsis as a marker of a “successful” session. In fact, intense emotional expression can sometimes bypass deeper, more supportive healing. At Kaisora, we prioritize grounded integration—supporting you to make meaning of what arises, connect to inner wisdom, and bring insight back into daily life. The focus is on experiences that truly serve your wholeness, not dramatic displays.

  • Kaisora does not follow a one-size-fits-all model of breathwork. Our facilitators are trained to meet each person’s experience with nuance, attunement, and deep respect. We honor the complexity of your story, your body, and your current capacity.

We emphasize presence, pacing, and sovereignty—never force, and never expectation. You are always invited to breathe in a way that feels accessible, and our facilitators are trained to track nervous system cues and offer supportive guidance that keeps the process within a range that fosters integration and healing.

Verbal cues and touch (with consent) are offered as invitations, not directives. We recognize the intelligence of the body’s defenses, whether through dissociation, contraction, or numbness, and support each journey to unfold at the pace of safety and trust.

We do not believe trauma must be released through intensity or activation. Rather, we create a grounded and compassionate environment in which healing becomes possible, not by bypassing the body’s wisdom, but by listening to it.

While breathwork can be a powerful tool for healing, we also recognize that it is not always the right modality for trauma resolution. Our facilitators practice within their scope and may recommend working with a licensed trauma therapist when additional support is needed.

Your well-being—physical, emotional, and spiritual—is always the priority.

  • You won’t be pushed to “break through” or maintain a specific breath rhythm without pause. Instead, you’ll be encouraged to experiment—to rest, to play with breath holds, to deepen or soften—learning the unique language of your own breath, body, and inner experience. This is a space of curiosity, not expectation or agenda.

  • Sometimes words are not enough, and touch becomes another language of support. In in-person sessions, touch may be offered as an optional layer—grounding contact, gentle holds to facilitate energy flow, or touch that helps soften, clear, or connect. Always guided by deep listening and with your consent, our touch is never about forcing something open, but about meeting you with respect, presence, and care.

  • Kaisora is a space where nothing is forced and everything is welcomed. We do not set out to induce catharsis or steer you toward any particular state; instead, we honor whatever arises organically and authentically in your process. Whether you encounter tenderness, resistance, grief, joy, power, or spiritual revelation, your experience is held with respect and compassion. Wherever you are on your journey, we are here to meet you.

  • We hold space with humility and reverence—not as experts on your inner world, but as companions to your unfolding. There is no ideology to adopt, no belief system to subscribe to. Your lived experience, your intuition, and your personal relationship to the sacred are honored without question. We welcome all spiritual paths, and none at all, trusting that the breath will guide you exactly where you need to go.

Kaisora’s Origin & Evolution

An Introduction from Tai Hubbert, Founder of Kaisora Breathwork

My life’s work is devoted to helping people connect more deeply with the vast intelligence within themselves—for healing, for insight, and for a felt sense of belonging to life. For more than a decade, I facilitated breathwork through my private practice, Sword & Lotus, before giving birth to Kaisora: a distinct approach to conscious, connected breathwork rooted in deep listening and respect for each person’s sovereignty. Grounded in science, developmental and somatic psychology, and trauma-informed care, Kaisora also opens to the mystical and transpersonal dimensions of experience.

The seeds of Kaisora were planted through my own years of seeking, navigating chronic pain, depression, and a longing for meaning that led me into decades of immersive study and practice across many healing and spiritual traditions. Buddhism and meditation, Yoga and Tantric philosophy, Shamanism, psychedelic therapy and plant medicine, Internal Family Systems, and the Hakomi Method were all deeply impactful in my journey, offering experiential doorways into discovery and healing. Over time, I found that my greatest growth came through direct experience—practices that engage both body and consciousness, opening access to expanded states of awareness and the innate wisdom that lives beneath thought. Along the way, I was deeply supported and influenced by teachers including Adyashanti, Gabor Maté, Jeannie Zandi, Thomas Hübl, Sandra Ingerman, and yoga teacher Tias Little, each of whom helped shape the depth, sensitivity, and spirit of this work.

When I first encountered conscious, connected breathwork, I was struck by its simplicity and accessibility. It existed outside specific traditions or belief systems, making it available to anyone seeking deeper connection and healing. Yet as I explored the field, I noticed that many approaches leaned heavily toward catharsis without a grounding in trauma awareness, while others lacked integration with science and the body. Unable to find a training path that fully resonated, I sought mentorship with teachers across many systems, including Rebirthing Breathwork, integrating what felt true and ethical while drawing from my own lived experience. As a Hakomi Therapist, Yoga Teacher, and Shamanic Practitioner, my facilitation is also shaped by Hakomi’s gentle yet powerful approach to relating, yoga’s somatic and subtle body intelligence, and shamanism’s capacity to navigate the unseen dimensions of experience.

In 2016, I began training others to facilitate breathwork from this foundation of safety, integrity, and compassion. Today, Kaisora continues to evolve as a living practice—one that doesn’t chase peak experiences but invites us to release unnecessary suffering, reconnect with vitality, and remember the miracle of being alive. The breath, in its simplicity, remains our bridge between body and consciousness, self and spirit, the finite and the infinite.

It is an honor to share these sacred and powerful spaces of breath—to witness the beauty of what unfolds when we meet ourselves fully.

Kaisora Breathwork is based in Seattle, Washington, on the ancestral lands of the Coast Salish peoples, including the Duwamish, Suquamish, Snoqualmie, and Muckleshoot tribes. We honor the original stewards of this land and offer our work in service to healing, remembrance, and right relationship.

Kaisora is a woman-founded business supporting deeper connection to all of life. May the work we do here be of benefit to all of our relations in this great web of life.

The Meaning of Kaisora

Kaisora is not a word pulled from a dictionary or bound to a single language or culture. It is a soul-crafted word that carries the energy of the earth and sky, humanity and divinity.

Kai evokes vitality and the elemental ground of our humanity: the sea, the earth, nourishment, strength, and sacred timing. Across many languages and traditions, kai points to opening, unlocking, and the steady foundation that holds life.

Sora carries the breath of sky—expansive vision, spaciousness, spirit, and transcendence. It whispers of soaring perspective and the spark of origin remembered.

Together, Kaisora is a threshold word, a sacred bridge between the deep waters of the psyche and body and the luminous realms of origin and spirit.

It honors the truth that there is a natural intelligence woven within each of us—a dharma, a design, a deep remembering.

This practice is not about striving to become something else. It is about returning to what has always lived within you: your essence, your knowing, your breath.
